CANDIDATE BIOs

Lauren Chychota -

My name is Lauren Chychota and I'm glad to accept the nomination for SFMA VP. I've been a member of SFMA for the last 4 years and the Raise Right Coordinator for the last 2 years.  I have 3 children, Brenden (19), Jason (17, SF 11th grader), and Ashlyn (12, SF 7th grader). Both Jason and Ashlyn are involved in the music program. They participate in marching band/percussion and marching band/color gaurd, respectively. My husband, Chris, is a SFMA member and currently leads the HS chaperone volunteers. We have lived in Royersford for the last 19 years.

I am a healthcare administrator and I have been in a professional leadership position for the last 20 years. My focus as SFMA VP would be to continue to find ways to increase the positive experience our spectators and participating schools have when they visit our campus and interact with our students.

I would love to have your vote and continue to contribute to the mission of SFMA for the next term.

Thank you and hope to see you at the upcoming election!

Sissy Morelock -

My name is Sissy Morelock, and I was nominated for the position of Treasurer.  I have been a member of SFMA for 3 years.  We have two kids, Dylan in 9th grade and Kenzie in 7th grade.  Dylan participates in Marching, Concert, and Jazz band.  You can find me volunteering at the concession stands during football games and anywhere else I’m needed.  I was the Treasurer for the 5/6 Home and School for 4 years.

Throughout my career, I have held various positions that will help me in the role of Treasurer and being a board member.  I was a manager at Vanguard until I left to help manage my family’s restaurant which included taking care of the bookkeeping.  For the last 12 years, I have been preparing taxes for individuals at a small firm in Phoenixville.
